Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Mike, try the county archives/court house records where he lived. I was able to retrieve a lot of information re: birth, marriage and wills from the court house records. Also try census and tax records from counties where he lived. If your family line is connected to the Revolution, the D.A.R. has a family file. I traced my lineage back to Balthesar so far.Balthesar(1745-1819)& Mary(d.1842) had 11 children one of which was Henry(1765?)-John(1810)-John(1833)-Albert(1887-1964).
