Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Thanks for the great email. I did not know that Balthesar, (I know him as Balser) Baumgartner was a private in the Revolution. That is good to know. Did he have a pension? Can you tell me how I can get verification of Balser's Revolutionary service? His son, John was, according to one source, a Capt in Virginia, during the war of 1812. I am still trying to track that down.
I am descended from John Baumgardner, his daughter Matilda (Baumgartner) Neff, Carson Campbell "CC" Neff, Matilda Pauline (Neff) Cook and Lucille Oree (Cook) Keaghey-Morgan-Shepperd. I would be glad to send you anything you might need for this line but like everyone else now-a-days, I do ask that dates and personal information on living persons be kept close at hand.
I connected Heinrich Baumgartner to Balser through the kind emails of Nadine Baumgardner. Do you know her? If not, I can send you her email address. I did try to send you an email but the .org address is not working for me. Thanks again for you time in sending your email. Larry
