Mary, I was able to obtain a copy of Balthesar's will from the D.A.R.(Daughters of the American Revolution) in Washington, D.C. Their address is 1776 D St., N.W., I will have to look up their zip code and telephone #. Balthesar and Peter are both listed there as fighting in the Revolution. The file has a cover sheet, born 1749,died 1819. Service: Pa. His folder contains his will, copies of census records from Augusta Co. & Botetourt Co. Va.(John petitioned his will there). I found a reference to Mary's will in Wythe Co. Va. Henry, Peter, Jacob, William moved to Raccoon Twn.Gallia Co.or may have already been there when Ohio became a state in 1803. If you refer to the Augusta Co. & Botetourt Co. Va. web site, Va. reached to Wis. and out to Illinois in the 1700's. Peter is listed to have been born in 1760 in Gettysburg, Pa. Peter died in 1840, Henry died in 1848, Gallia Co. I am researching if may be Gallia Co. Land was Balthesar's bounty land from the Revolution.I am also trying to find out what regiment he was in to find out if he fought in any of the major battles of the Revolution. I will let you know when I find out more. You may want to contact Jeri, she has lots of information, also on the Bumgardner family.
