Hi, I really want to thank you for the nice emails. You have really done a lot of productive work. We are some kind of kin I guess, sharing old Baumgartner as we do. I am an older, retired guy and live in Texas. Down here we do not have ability/resources to dig this stuff out. Do you live in the northeast? I figure that you must live up that way to be able to visit Wythe County.

Down here (Texas) I have been a minor researcher/source for the greater Standridge clan. There are thousands of Standridge's mostly from Maryland and Virginia down to North and South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas and over to Texas. My branch moved down to Texas about 125 years ago. .

The Baumgartners are a new area for me and appear to be quite an exciting line. It is my understanding that John was a soldier in the War of 1812. With his dad as a Revolutionary War soldier, it just makes me proud for them. Let me know if you need anything from my line and I will respond in kind.

I know I am rattling on and you don't have the time for all this. I just wanted you to know that your emails have been important to me and are much appreciated. Thank you. Larry
