IS THERE A CONNECTION BETWEEN JOHN AND ANOTHNY BAUMGARDNER?
Posted by: Berna David Hunter (ID *****9384) Date: May 28, 2004 at 08:19:48

William and Hannah Hunter were the parents of my great-great-grandmother Louisa Ellenor Hunter. She and her siblings Hezekiah, Margaret, George, William H., Amanda, Hannah, and their parents William and Hannah Hunter traveled extensively in their migrations with the Bumgardner (sometimes spelled Baumgardner) families.

There appears to be a strong Bumgardner family connection with this Hunter family. Both families together migrated through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, and settling for a time in Butler and Carter county Missouri with most of the Hunter family remaining there.

Two of the Hunter brothers William and Hezekiah Hunter married Bumgardner women. William H. Hunter married Sarah Adeline Bumgardner, daughter of John and Rhoda Bumgardner, and Hezekiah Hunter married Caroline Baumgardner, daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth Davis Baumgardner.

Although these Bumgardner families are not connected to me through blood relation it would be nice to be able to connect Anthony to John Bumgardner. It is my hope by finding the descendants of these siblings I will be able to glean some useful information about my elusive Hunter family.

Please let me list below a little of what I know about these Bumgardner families, and if you can connect any information listed below to your own family information please do not hesitate to contact me directly. With the information I have at hand, I just can not help but to conclude that John Bumgardner is possibly a younger brother of Anthony Baumgardner, it would be great to be able to connect the two. Thank You for your time.

Sincerely,

Berna David Hunter
