Hi Marshall, My maternal G- great grandmother was Jennie Baumgardner born cira, 1868 in Orland , Cook, IL near Chicago. The whole area then was farmland. She married Christian Roemer Jr. born 1862 in Orland. Jennie died young in 1903. and Christian died in 1938. Their daughter was Elsie (Jennie) Roemer b. 1889 in Orland and died young in 1929 in Chicago. My family knows very little about Jennie B., like whom her parents were and from where they emigratrd and what year. We have been trying to find Jennie's ancestors for years, her parents were probably born in the 1840's in Germany/Prussia. Hope we can find some connections. Thank you. Marilyn E. Baumgardner Roemer Nelson. (Mrs K. W. Nelson).
