Sylvanus BAYARD/BYARD Frankfort, Me

Hi everybody. I'm hoping that someone might know the answer to my question.

I've been looking for siblings or parents of Robert Byard who was one of the first settlers in the Sedgwick area (Plantation #4), Hancock County, in 1763 or so. One Byard researcher I met on-line had heard that Robert came here from England with two brothers but that they went their separate ways after arriving.

Just recently I found a listing for Sylvanus Byard on Rootsweb Worldconnect with a statement that Sylvanus was of Sedgwick when he married...meaning, I think, that he was living there prior to his marriage. I wrote to the man who has a data base on Rootsweb but he's never written back so I'm hoping that someone on this list might know this family. The spelling might be Bayard and/or Byard but on Sylvanus' gravestone, I believe his name is spelled Byard. My question then is whether anyone recognizes who Sylvanus might have been....where he came from and who his parents or siblings were. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Believe me, it's greatly appreciated.
