Brit. Maj. Samuel Vetch Bayard was the son of Brit. Col. William Bayard (b. Jun. 1, 1729) and Catherine McEvers (dau. of John McEvers; was the grandson of Stephen Bayard (b. 1700 NYC) and Alida Vetch; and was the great-grandson of Col. Samuel Bayard (1669 - 1745) and Margaret Van Cortlandt. Col. Samuel Bayard's parents were Nicholas Bayard and Judith Verlet. I hope this helps. I'm also a Bayard descendant. Eric Bal
