Yes this Robert is the son of Stephen Bayard and Alida Vetch. In April 1927 Mrs. Anson Phelps Atterbury gave a speech before The Order of Colonial Lords of Manors in America wherein she states this. The speech was privately published in Baltimore in 1928. Mrs. Anson Phelps Atterbury's birth name was Catherine Goodhue Van Rensselaer. She was the great-grandaughter of Robert's brother William.
