Hi,
I'm doing some research on Judith Verlett regarding her accusations of witchcraft in Hartford. I am quite amazed at the Stuyvesant/Bayard/Varlett connections. I am interested in why Caspar Verlett, Judith's father decided to stay in Hartford with Judith and Maria. Do you have any info on this line?
Also, what did Col. Nicholas Bayard do to earn the title? Indian wars, I presume? Well, you are lucky to have such a rich and fascinating family line!
Thanks,
Kathy Spada Basto
