I have the follwing marriages listed in subject book and cannot identify them for a certainity.

Arthur Hickman m Betsy Parks 16 Apr 1800, John Dix sur.
Arthur Hickman m Betsy Only 2 Jan 1801
Edward Hickman m Peggy Parker 25 Aug 1787, Samuel Parker sur.
John Berry Hickman m Mary Pettitt 13 Feb 1787, Thomas Hickman sur.
Richard Hickman m Elizabeth Waterfield 5 Jan 1787, Selby Hickman sur.
Spencer Hickman m Peggy Bayly 31 May 1791
Mollie Hickman m Bratcher Moore 9 Aug 1790
Anne Hickman m Jacob Brockshaw 25 Mar 1805
Bridget Hickman m Solomon White 20 Aug 1789
Santer Hickman m Richard Wimbrough 10 Mar 1786, John Glasby sur.

I know I have know but now forgotten what does "sur." stand for?

If anyone can identify who the parents may be of the Hickmans mentioned or lead me into the proper families so I can record them I would certainly appreciate it.
