My family live in Wiltshire [Chippenham] but my late father [Born 1909] was born in London. But he use to visit a Bayly family in Corsham [as a child]. They had a lot of land and were respected members of the community. My fatherís name was Lionel Christopher Bayly [1909 - 1963] his parent: - Christopher and Mary Bayly [post master general]. They must of died about 1920,s. They had a close relationship with the Lipton family - which was, at the time, a big importer/exporter of tea etc. The head of the company at the time - was my fatherís godfather.
Not sure if this helps but have a cousin who may be able to shed more light on that Bayly's from Corsham [Wiltshire - Just out side Devizes]
