I thought after reading your information that this might interest you.
The Beauchamps did come over with William the Conquerer, and in 1268 William de Beauchamp became the first Earl of Warwick. being given Warwick Castle as residence, (the surname is actually pronounced beacham).
In 1312 Guy de Bauchamp sentanced Peiers Gaveston for Treason.
In 1397 Thomas de Beauchamp confesses to treachery and is exiled to the Isle of Man by Richard II but reclaims his title in 1399
In 1431 Richard de Beauchamp supervises the trial of Joan of Arc
and finally in 1445 Henry de Beauchamp becomes Duke of Warwick, but sadly the title dies with him a year later.
My grandmother Grace Beacham came from Warwickshire but I have still to find out if she was descended from the famous ones above.
