Beacham Family in Risca Area, Wales

Hi I'm trying to find out more about the Beachams from Monmouthshire (although Risca more recently was in Gwent).

I've traced the family back to Walter Beacham b c1856. He was married to Sarah Ann (nee either Alsop or Thomas - sorry haven't got certs back yet, but know this is the right family) and they had children: Sarah J, Clara Deborah, William Walter, Elizabeth (possibly second name Ann), Arthur, Sydney, Tom, Samuel, Doris Lucy. I have a trace on Walter and the above family on the 1881 census, but cannot find him on 1861 census. I have tried all combinations of first name and surname but can't find the family. There is talk that the family may have come from Somerset, but am unsure when and if it is this side of the family. I have yet to find him in Somerset.

Can anyone help or know anything of the family? Thanks, Melissa
