Hi Pete,

No, I haven't got any further; I've been concentrating on my family tree. However, my husband's uncle has traced the family back to Clutton in Somerset (I can't remember how or who!) and has gone far enough back so that it is down to searching parish records. I have done some background research and it seems highly possible that this is where the name came from as the land belonged to the Earl of Warwick whose family name was Beauchamp. However, until one of us gets round to searching the records, it will remain an assumption.

How far have you got? Melissa
