So they had gone to Iowa; no wonder I have not been able to locate them around here in Ohio any place. I have checked census records for several counties unable to locate them. Figured they moved west.
Sure would appreciate having any census information. I don't need paper copies; just the information. Do you have the children's names?
Here is the census informatin I was able to locate here:
1860 Clay Twp., Montgomery Co., Ohio census:
Beachler, Michael 35, born OH
Christena, 24, born OH.
Jacob, 4, born OH.
Catherine Ann, 1, born OH.
Bechler, Anna, 65, knitting, born VA.
Simon, 16, farm hand, born OH.

Here you see that Simon lived with a relative after the death of his father.

1870 Clay Twp., Montgomery Co., Ohio census:
Bechler, Simon, 25, teamster, born OH.
Anna, 20, born PA.
William, 2, born OH.

Here he had married and had a 2 yr. old son.

from Lowell Beachler's paper he prepared in 1994:
1850 Simon lived with Anna Bechler (grandmother)
1853 Simon lived with Jonathon Reed (neighbor)
1859 Simon lived with Michael Beachler (uncle)
1860 Simon lived with Leonard Beachler (uncle) [in the 1860 census above Simon is living with Michael Beachler]

Below is Anna FISHER and her parents when she was 9 in 1860.

1860 Clay Twp., Montgomery Co., Ohio census:
Samuel Fisher, 35, blacksmith, born PA.
Catherine, 36, born PA.
Anna, 9, born PA.
George, 6, born PA.
Emma, 3, born OH.
Mary I., 1, born OH.

I don't know whether you might have this or not: Jacob's father was Frederick and mother was Anna FRANTZ

Hope some of this helps you. Be glad to receive some information of their lives in Iowa.
How are you related to this family?
