Hello to all, I am currently researching the origin of the Beachler name, and to my surprise, Jean Jennier Bischler changed his name to John Jennier Beachler. But this was changed sometime in the past already, because the original name was Bichler. The Bichler family is quite a large one, and lived in (or came from) Hottviller, Moselle, France (at least since the 1640's). The region in Moselle is called "Le Pays de Bitche". This could be the "TRUE" origin of the name. Of course, this still has to be verified !!

I hope this will be of use !!

Good luck !!

P.S. : Jean Jennier was my Great Grandfather, Walter Valentine my Grandfather and James (Frontier, Lincoln, Wy b16/2/1926) my father.
