Thomas Beall 8/26/11
John Camden Hotten wrote "The Original Lists of Persons of Quality and Others Who Went from Great Britain to the American Plantations, 1600-1700" published posthumously in 1874. (rembering Great Britain includes Scotland and America includes Barbados in 1600's). I have what is called the "Omitted Chapters from Hotten's" - I do not have a copy of the original book, although I understand it to be readily available. The "Omitted Chapters" is like a directory and on page 68 lists a Captain Allexander Beall with two servants, 70 Negroes, and 111 acres of land in St. John's Parish (Barbados, not Maryland).
On p. 126 he is listed again as being under the command of Captain Frances Cleaver, with three men. Then on p. 208 he is listed again under Capt. John LESLIE as Capt. Alex Beale as one man and horse.
