Jackson Day 12/28/11
It just seems odd to me Ninian would be transferred to an island where he has family members as prominent citizens, only to be transferred to serve out 7 years of his life in indentureship. In Hotten's Original book I don't see anything about prisoners from the battle of Dunbar being transported there, only from the Monmouth Rebellion of 1685.
In "Barbados Records, Wills and Administrations, Vol 2, 1681-1700", Sanders, page 26, there is mentioned in the will of Rebecca Beale, 1698, "sons Richard Beale, Alexander Beale, & Francis Beale." In Hotten's Original a Rebecca Beal is listed as a ship's Master transporting captured rebels from the Monmouth Rebellion of 1685.
There is no mention in the Index of a Ninian Beale, Beall, Bell, though.
