It might be interesting to you, to know that, in the province of Québec, most of the baby boys are baptised the first name JOSEPH, followed by the middle name (Usely the godfather's first name) and the third first name is the usual first name.
So my name goes like that: Joseph Fabien Jacques Landry (i'm known as Jacques Landry). My great-grand-father was Joseph Amable BEAUDOIN (Amable Beaudoin here in Canada)
I think that in USA, the usual fist name is the first one.
So, it might be confusing, when french canadian are immigrating to USA.
