I was born in Sutton (Québec), on August 7th, 1948. Parents: Napoléon LANDRY & Patricia BEAUDOIN.
My mother died November, 23rd, 1948. So I never knew her. I was the 8th child. I was brought up by my grand-parents LANDRY.
So, I NEVER had any contacts with the BEAUDOIN family. The only few things I knew were that my grand mother maternal was
Emerentienne LEMIRE-BEAUDOIN-GENDRON, and that my mother had a brother Lorenzo BEAUDOIN, who never got married. He died in Sutton. After my mother's death, all contacts with the BEAUDOIN family were totally lost.
When I started my research, it was with few informations that I got from my elder sister, Huguette LANDRY, who was 12 years old when our mother died.
I went to Diocese de Nicolet, where a found through the archives, the register from the parrish ou Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil.
In there, I found out few informations upon J. Alcide BEAUDOIN, my grand-father, who married Emerentienne LEMIRE, on
1906-09-24. And they had, at least 5 children: Palmire (1907-10-27), Merilda (1909-08-11), Lorenzo (1911-04-25),
Omer (1912-09-11)and Patricia (1915-03-09).
I found out that J. Alcide BEAUDOIN died in Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil on 1918-05-31. His grand-father Joseph BEAUDOIN (spouse: Emilie COMTOIS) died too in the same parrish, on 1915-10-24.
I did not found anything yet about Palmire, Merilda & Omer. They probably died at an early age, because nobody in my family ever heard about them. But their burial are not registered at Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil.
In the register, there was another BEAUDOIN: Aime Elzear, born: 1915-01-07 ; parents: Adelard & Georgina MENARD.
There was a burrial too: BEAUDOIN, Adele, died : 1899-02-02 ; Parents: Adelard & Georgina MENARD.
