Hi Kristi,
It's hard to find the meaning of our name because there are different meanings depending on where you get the information. I have two. One says it's French meaning "descendant of Baudouin (bold,friend). The other says it's from the Old French word "baud", meaning "joyous" or "passionate", from the germanic "bald", meaning "audacious". The original Beaudoin was a truly "bodacious" person in the most modern sense of the word. I hope that didn't add too much confusion. When you start tracing your tree you can find it quite interesting.
