Bill, what are the chances that a book on the Hamilton family does not have complete info on another family? (such as the Beavens, Greens or Wheelers)I spent most of today looking at all the web sources I could find easily to ascertain some additional info on this couple; I think there is another possibility I did notconsider before, that Eleanor Wheeler and Ellen/Eleanor Green are the same person. Does anyone have this info from source records rather than another compilation?Who do you have listed as the parents of Eleanor Wheeler? If we are dealing with 2 different Edward Beavens as spouses for 2 separate women, Eleanor Wheeler and Eleanor/Ellen Green, who are the other man's parents?I have Edward down as the child of Charles Beaven and Rebecca Finch, and the brother of Col. Charles Beaven and a Richard Beaven.Does this also agree with what you have? As Charles and Edward were pioneer settlers in KY, where and when did another Edward arrive? Here is the list I currently have on the children of Edward Beaven and Eleanor:
1. Elizabeth Beaven b.13 May 1785, m. Henry Luckett 17 June 1805 in Washington Co., KY.
2. Charles Beaven b. 2 Nov 1796 m. Cecily Luckett, the daughter of Hezekiah Luckett, a brother of above Henry Luckett (Hezekiah's wife is Elizabeth Hamilton)
3. Theresa 'Treacy' Beaven b. 22 Mar 1799 m. John Heard 'Jack' Abell 23 Nov 1816 in Washington Co., KY
4. Mary Ann Beaven b. 19 Aug 1794 m. Leonard J. Hamilton 22 Nov 1814 in Washington Co., KY
I show a total of 6 children: Lucinda, George, William, Harriet, Margaret and Anna
5. Harriet Beaven b. abt 1800 m. Isaac Pottinger in 1823
6. Benjamin F. Beaven b. 1790 m. Margaret McAtee
If the above children are actually born of two separate couples, I need all the help I can get in sorting them out !Angela
