As I understand it, the Irish named their first born son after the father's father. This John Beecher's oldest son, (he had 11 children) was named James. I'm assuming, read guessing, that his father was James.
Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it. I have been able to trace the Beechers who came from Kent fairly well, but I have a significant gap when trying to determine who were John Townsend Becher's parents. I know he married an O'Donovan, produced Mary Donovan who then married a Wrixon and started the Wrixon-Becher line, which is a very interesting group indeed. Any light you may be able to shed on this mystery?
