Billy, I don't have very much information on the Beckom family. I do know that my GGF William Daniel Beckom was a minister in the Baptist Church in Georgia in the 1800's. I obtained a little information from Mercer University Library in Georgia. I know tht GGF was in the Ohoopee Primitive Baptist Association in the late 1890's to 1901 when the association went out of existence. He was married to an Indian woman by the name of Amanda Wishum. He also had another family in North Carolina that I located quite by accident. They have provided me with additional information and photographs of GGF Beckom and some of his North Carolina family. From the photos, the family resemblances to my grandfather and father are absolutely phenominal. You could contact one of the N.C. Beckoms who now lives in Maine and he should be able to provide you with information on the N.C. Beckoms. His e-mail address is and his name is David Daniel Beckom. Hope this helps in your search. Also, I have located lots of Beckoms in Georgia, especially from the historical society in Sandersville, Ga. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. Bill Beckom
