Beddo and Bedow are names that interchange through history with numerous other simmilar pronounciations and spellings. Bedo Beddow etc. Hopefully others with simmilar sounding names will work with this site.

My Great-Great grandfather was Edward or Edwin Ruthven Bedow. b. March 1832 in Vt. Edwards parents were both born in NY. Edward m. Sarah Melvina Barnhart in 1860, prob in Deerfield, Warren Co., Pa. He died in 1911 prob in Minnesota. He was living in Tidioute Pa. in 1870. Sarah was b. Februaray 1842 in NY. the daughter of John and Sarah Barnhart. Edward and Sarah had the following children:

1. Helen J. b. 1862 in Deerfield, Pa.
2. William H. Bedow b. 1863 in Farmington, Pa.
3. Emma Francis Bedow b. July 29j, 1866 Farmington, Pa. m. Cyrus Whitney the son of John F.M. Whitney in Morrison Co., Mn. in January, 1882.
4. John W. b. 1869, Farmington, Pa.
5. May b. 1873, Farmington
6. Patrick Bedow, b. September, 1879, Farmington, Pa., m. Ida Langevin
7. Grace Bedow b. November 1883, Farmington Pa. m. Henry Betner
8. Bertha Bedow b. March 1885, prob. Belle Prairie, Morrison Co., Mn.
