I have tried to find this family in the Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, Wales census of 1841 with no luck at all.I have gone through the LDS microfilms of that census and I have gotten a lookup from a Glamorgan web site which confirmed my manual search. It appears that either the family was not in Merthyr Tydfil in 1841, or the census missed them.It is interesting to note that Henry Beddoe's occupation, as listed in the 1851 census, was brickmaker. The 1841 census had less than 10 Beddoe families. The only Biddoe who was about 50 in that census was William Beddoe, a bricklayer.William's children were not the same ages as Henry's although some had the same names.William was not born in the same country (Wales?). There were not many bricklayers in that census.Could Henry and William have been relatives?
