Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

All my BEDDOWs, from John (1802-1861), to his daughter Elizabeth (1830-1891), who married my great grandfather William LONGWORTH were born, and lived in Lee Lane, Horwich.

They all seem to have worked at the Bleachworks. Other BEDDOWs (so far not connected) - also born & living in Horwich - appeared to have kept a grocery shop also in Lee Lane.

I haven't seen any links to Smithills or Astley Bridge.
