I have an ancestor named Edward Joseph Bednar (b February 14, 1890, d January 10, 1951). I don't have any record of any of "my" Edward Bednar relatives having lived in New York, but our family history does trace back to Austria. Here's the only info I have about my relative Edward:

Sometime in the early 1900's, he moved to Rapelji, MT with parents and brothers Charles (& family) and Fred. My grandfather Charles Bednar, along with his wife, children, and parents Edward & Katherine (Kubaleski) Bednar, returned to St. Paul, MN after bank in MT failed. Lost all.

Good Luck with your research.
