My Grandfather was adopted by Barney and Anne Beermann in the 1920's. We have lots of Beerman(n) descendents here in Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. Here is what I know of his adoptive heritage:

Charley Warden changed his name to Charles Andrew Beermann.
Adoptive parents:
G.F. (Barney) Beermann b. 1874, d. 1937
Anne (Annie Lizzie) Heller

Barney's parents:
Herman Heinrich Beermann d. 1883
Marie Adelaide Bloom/s (Blum/s) Married in St. Louis in 1862

The Beermanns emigrated in the 1840's from Hanover Province of Germany.
They settled in St. Louis, and in Calhoun County, MO.
Barney in buried in St. James Catholic Cemetery, Phelps, MO.
Anne is buried in Iowa
