Just curious: Does the Begin family name in U.S. or Canada or France have any connection whatever with the Begun name in Russia/Ukraine. The Begun name (pronoucned Beguny, plural) in Russian history is associated with the so-called Old-Believers who fled the State and government regulations, such as military inscription and passports, etc., possibly travelling out of the country under persecution, etc. Thus their name, which means in essence, "runner, fugitive."
