I found that the Begins did not show up on the 1901 or 1891 census for field or its
surrounding territories, though we know they were there.
The only Paul or Napoleon Begin I have spotted so far is just accross the border
in the US, I think it was Conneticut. Is it
possible that ours may have come from a US
branch of the Begins?
I am going to Northern Ontario in may,
and am going to visit the gravesite in Markstay. Philomene Begin was buried there,
Have you been to this graveyard, hoping
that Philomene's sisters Regina and Valentine are there also, and that one of them holds
a key in an obitutary, or their brother Edmond. If there is at least one sibling that died before the father, maybe we can pinpoint an area.
Options seems to be very scarce.
