Hi Adele. I think your James Begin married to Mary Mader was the son of James Charles Begin (Begein) and Elizabeth Marlowe married the 31st december 1818 in St-John Anglican Church Lunenburg. James Charles Begin was the son of Jacques (James) Begin (Begein) and Jeanne Maillard. Jacques Begin and Jeanne Maillard came from Montbeliard France to Nova scotia on the ship BETTY in 1752 and Jacques married Jeanne the 18th december 1766 also in St-John Anglican Church. This Begin family in Nova Scotia has not the same origin with the Begin family in Quebec and with the majority of the other Begin families in North America.

PS Why do you write your surname with two "n"
