Would like to hear from anyone who might have info on my gg grandfather Jacob Michael Behm/Boehm (b.1815-Germany; d.1886-Saginaw, MI) who immigrated to Saginaw, Michigan in about 1872. My records show that his father was Martin Behm, who died sometime after 1815 in Germany. Jacob married Maria Wilhelmine Rosenthal 1853 in Germany; their children were Caroline (b.1844-Prussia/Germany; d.unknown), Johann (b.1848-Prussia/Germany; d.1913-Saginaw Co, MI); Fredericka (b.1853-Pommern,Prussia/Germany; d.1935-Saginaw, MI); Charles/Carl(my grandfather)(b.1855-Pommern,Prussia/Germany; d.1935-Saginaw, MI); and Fred (b.1859-Pommern, Prussia/Germany; d.1944-Saginaw, MI).
I also have info on a Christopher Behm (b.1827-Gitscho, Pomen, Germany; d.1886-Saginaw, MI) who was married to Caroline Schmidendorf 1853 in Germany. She was born 1831 & died 1923 in Saginaw, MI. I think--but don't know for sure--that maybe Christopher was a brother of Jacob's. Some of Christopher's family first settled in St Louis, Missouri, but later moved to Saginaw, MI.
If anyone has info on Martin, Jacob or Christopher, please contact me. I would really like to find out Jacob's siblings, and maybe tie Christopher in with my family.
