I do not have much information on the Shanor family because my husband descends from Joseph Beighlea's first wife, Catherine. Much of the information that I have accumulated comes from a Shanor tree posted by Lucille Cassatt. Terry Erb's Beighley tree posted online is also superb.

Other information comes from a large Beighley Family Tree Poster that is based upon work done by William B. Rodenbaugh. This tree contains names not found in his book "Acorns at Colonial Oaks, Beighley 1737 - 1934." A copy of the tree is in the Heritage Room of the Franklin Library, Franklin, Venango County, PA.

Below is Abraham. There are other family ties with Abraham's brothers--Daniel and Henry.

1-Abraham Shanor (17 Mar 1795-19 Apr 1855) Abraham and Susannah buried in St. John's Old Stone Lutheran Church, Lancaster Twn., Butler, PA. They were married by Bishop Schnee on 25 Apr 1817.
sp: Susannah Tucks Fox (bet 1797 and 1800-15 Jun 1874) -- No information about the "Tucks" middle name.
2-Lydia Shanor (14 Sep 1823-22 Feb 190) -- second wife of Joseph, buried in This is called Irwin/Kilroy Cemetery today. This cemetery is located on Kilgore Road which is sometimes called Henderson Road. It is State Road 3003--located about 3 miles west of Wesley. The church is still active as Irwin Presbyterian Church. I have pictures of the graves.
sp: Joseph 1 Beighley (Beighlea) (25 Jan 1812-23 Apr 1889) buried besides Lydia. His first wife, Catherine, is buried in Log Cemetery with a small stone that his not readable.
2-Elizabeth Shanor (29 Dec 1817-21 Jun 1904) buried in Irwin/Kilroy Cemetery beside the Joseph Beighlea family.
sp: John William Beighley (Beighlea) (11 Jan 1818-13 Feb 1897) buried in Irwin/Kilroy Cemetery beside the Joseph Beighlea family.
2-Catherine Shanor (3 Nov 1819-1896)
sp: Michael Beighley (Beighlea) (May 1815-Feb 1906) He is a son of George Beighley and Catherine Hoover/Lambert. Catherine and Michael buried in the German Lutheran Church Cemetery, Middle Lancaster, Butler Co., PA.
2-Maria Rosina "Mary" Shanor (18 Sep 1821-1891)
sp: George Myers (1816-1889)
2-Susanna Shanor (31 Aug 1825-7 Jan 1909)
sp: William Boston (abt 12 Oct 1822-16 Feb 1907)
2-Maria "Mary Polly" Shanor (1828-)
