I believe that Susannah's middle name was not "Tucks." I think the record reads "Fuchs," a German last name that often turned into "Fox." I am still looking for Susannah's parents, either Fox or Fuchs.

I also think Elizabeth, Henry Shaner's wife and mother of Abraham, had a last name that may have sounded like "Buttonbarger" but was probably something else. I have not been able to locate a single other person with the last name of Buttonbarger. Perhaps it was something like Baudenbacher?

I am a descendant of Maria Rosina Shaner and her husband George Myers.
