Will of Henry Hancock-dated Nov. 29, 1797 proved May Court, 1798, Halifax Co., NC.
Lend Celea Bell, wife of George Bell, deceased, one negro. To Lemuel Bell, son of said George Bell, deceased, 3 negros.
Witnesses: Benjamin Bell, Mary(Alsobrook)Bell

About 10 years ago I received this and a lot more on this family from J. Elton Bell. Have you read his recent book, "Sir Robert Bell" ?
It has a lot of Bell info migrating from Virginia through the Carolinas, TN and AL
