My great great grandmother was related to them and I'm trying to understand the connection. Her name was Mary Healy and she married Thomas Whalen." I've found a WWI draft card (1917) for George Lindsay BELL (born Dec 5 1891) residing at 105 Waring Place; I can't make out his occupation (poor handwriting/bad scan), but it might be "insurance broker." In the 1910 census data below, a George BELL born c1890 was enumerated with father William and mother Catherine; note that William's mother-in-law is enumerated as Bridget WHALEN. I believe this same George BELL, is the George BELL, plumber, I've found enumerated at 10 Convent Avenue in 1920 and 1930. 1910 US Census > NY Westchester Yonkers Ward6 ED169 10 Stewart Place BELL, Wm.
