This isn't the answer that you are looking for to your query regarding Mary Benda.
One of the surnames we have in our file is an Uncle's mother, Mary Benda, born Sept. 18, 1895. Mary was married twice but not to a Joseph Siegel. The first husband was in the military in Czechoslovakia and died there. Mary had a child who became ill and died there also. Later, Mary came to Detroit and married George Abidin [his actual surname was Llosko it was changed in the USA].
Mary died May 16, 1981 in Detroit.

What I am wondering is whether she could be a cousin to your Mary. Mary's siblings are [that we know of so far] John; Joseph and Rose.
Mary was born in Dechtice, Czechoslovakia.
