Hope this is not a repeat. My Aunt's info has Antone Benish born in Bohemia ca 1861. The family came to the US in 1870 possibly thru Baltimore. Antone's parents were John and Helen BARTOSH BENISH. I had previously thought Helen's maiden name was KNEBEL, but I have solid info that it was BARTOSH. The only info I have about Antone is that he married someone named Mary ?. I have the names of 8 children for them, Meza, Edward, Milward, George, Milo, Margaret, Pearl and Duane.
Now this gets confusing. The info I have is different from yours so help me out. Your father was Kenneth Benesh Jr., your grandfather was Kenneth Benesh, you G.grandfather was John Benesh born in 1875 in Iowa and who died in 1952? I have his father, your g.g.grandfather, as John Benesh, born in Bohemia in 1829, married to Helen Bartosh Benish.
I have Antone Benish's signature on two different marriage return forms I found on microfilm. He was a witness at the marriages of Helen Benesh to Charles Earsa and also for Mary Benesh who married Arthur Barnes.
