Tom,
I think your great grandfather may have been my paternal grandfather's uncle, or perhaps cousin. My grandfather, from Menominee Michigan, was also named Frank Benesh, perhaps after your great grandfather. I don't recall the year of his birth but think it 1890 and he died in either March, or April, of 1979. I know nothing about his family prior to his birth but believe he was born in Menominee. He married Elsie Rocheleau of Porterfield Wisconsin around 1915/1916 and they had four children - Francis, Rita, Robert, and Ursula. My father is Francis Joseph Benesh, born in Menominee June 1917 deceased August 1998. He was a lifelong resident of Menominee Michigan. I remember him talking about his Dad's relative that owned a grocery store in the downtown Menominee area and that he was very successful.

The fourth child of Frank and Elsie Benesh, my Aunt Ursula, is still alive and living, I think, in Browndeer Wisconsin on West Spring Lane. She married Harold Lamack of Menominee Michigan. Last known phone number 414-354-8814. The trail may pick-up if you can locate and contact her.
