You have an interesting question. Did this branch of Benns migrate to Washington Co. NY, Schoharie Co. or elswhere? I have checked an old reference I have called "Bain Family of the Hudson Valley, 1700 - 1900' by Mrs. Frields; 1973. I couldn't quite find the arrangement of Peter Benn and Gerty Simon, that you referred to, but these names are common to the Bain/Benn family of the Hudson valley of those years. Check out Cora Eady's work on the Benn line too. There was a Peter P. Benn in the 1790 Census in Schoharie County, NY. I have often wondered if this Peter in Schoharie was related to my ancestor, Hugh I. Benn. Hugh went through Schoharie on his way to his final home in what is now Broome County NY.
