Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

HISTORY OF CLARION COUNTY says: "George ROTE and his sister Rhody, aged about twelve and fourteen, were taken by Indians, in March, 1781, from there home at Mifflinburg, now Union County, and carried prisoners to the Seneca country. After some time, when peace was proclaimed, they were liberated, met near where Clarion stands, and returned home together. 'Rhody married James Ben, and they moved to Centre county."

Let me know if you ever track down more details on this JAMES BENN. Trying to fit him into the HENRY BENN line.
