I hope this information will be of value to you. I will attempt to look further for you if this is not the case. I'm 56 years of age and knew David Benn in the 1960's. I believe his name is actually William David Peter Thomas Benn. How's that! I hear periodically how he is getting along. First of all David's fathers name was William Benn. David's mothers name was Kate(maiden name Wooley). Kate and William seperated after the 2nd World War. William moved to Toronto at some point, married, had a son, and died in the seventies I believe. I believe David never saw his father much or at all after his mother and father seperated, but I do believe Dave went to Toronto to see him in his thirties and meet his step-brother. I recall that William Benn's parents home was near the cemetary in St. Thomas. David married Lynn(nee Davies)and they live in Lynn's family home on Myrtle St.Thomas. They never had a family. Chris, David's sister married a William More and moved to British Columbia, adopted 2 boys who are probably in their late 20's or early 30's. Kate married William Morrow, and the last I knew they were living in the Guelph area. Would be interested to know if you think this is the family you are trying to track down. Hope I have been of some help.
