My great grandmother was Elsia Alveretta Bennington b in IN born 7 march 1881 d feb 1902.
I'll bet it is a family name.
Her father was John L or John T Benning ton b in OH on 16 jan 1858 mother was Sarah Catherine young.
I have no siblings for him. and would love to.Maybe Alveretta is his sister.
We will have to investigate this.
