Bennington in my data base, I have a Reuben Bennington that married Elizabeth Fuller Cochran in Greene Co. IN on Oct. 27, 1825. They left IN and came to TX around the 1840's on a flatboat down the Mississippi River and settled in the Newton/Jasper Counties of TX. they had several children: James P. Bennington b. 1844 m. Martha Bagwell William E. Bennington b. 1827 m. Nancy Jones Rebecca Bennington b. 1830 m. William Odom Sarah Bennington b.1833 m. William Banzanette Mehetable Fuller Bennington b. 1835 m. William Pierce Stone Mary Jane Bennington b. 1838 m. David M. Jones, Sr. John W. Bennington b. 1841 Martha A. Bennington b. 1847 m. Edward W. Smith Virginia M. Bennington b. 1850 m. William E.
