Thanks Fred, I did not know that, one needs to make sure they have the correct Benoit line, either Lajeunesse or Livernois. I had always assumed that other Benoits only arrived much later. What we are seeing, I guess, itís safe to say that all the Benoits registered at south shore parishes are from the Livernois line, at least before the mid to end of the 1700s. We never had a reason to look in Montreal itself (North shore) because my Livernois line moved east, always always along the south shore.
Did these Lajeunesse Benoits always stay in the Montreal city area?
