Who was the first wife of Adjedeur Benoit (1871-1952) of Putnam, CT

Greetings!

I am looking for information on the first wife of Adjedeur Benoit of Putnam CT (19 Nov. 1871-15 Mar 1952). His unique first name, and people's attempts to write it down make searches difficult.

That he was married to Celene Desautels as his second wife is recorded in several documents, especially censuses. I know of no other information, including her name. I know of no children of the correct age to be theirs.

They would have married between 1887 and 1899. Adjedeur was living in Putnam at that time. When mustered into the 3rd Conn. Vol. Arty (as "Juter Benoit"), he is listed as "single." In the 1900 federal census he is living with his parents (Jean-Baptiste and Virginie Berthiaume) and a widower.

Can anyone tell me the name of Adjedeur's first wife?
