Hi Marcel,

Yes, I had read that post regarding Martin and Paul. you are correct regarding Martin's origin. I think all that is known is that he left LaRochelle, France and arrived in Acadia(Nove Scotia) in 1671. I have not been successful in finding any leads to this line in French records, though I will continue to research.

On the DNA side, if a Benoit dit Livernos male line direct descendant from Paul had his YDNA tested, it could be compared to the Acadian line to see if there is any close genetic relationship.
