Hi Bert,
I am researching Jean Baptiste Berard who came to St. Martinsville in about 1760. My original idea was he came from Dauphine, France. I am a direct ancestor of this person, and have tried to link him back to France for about a year now. I wonder now if he was part of the Canadians but that would difficult to prove.
This particular Jean Baptiste Berard left of namesake trail of himself, his son and his grandson before it disappeared as a name line.
If you can help me with my search of this ancestor, please let me know.
